Villa eyeing Plasil

Bordeaux's Czech Republic midfielder Jarosalv Plasil is said to be attracting interest from both Aston Villa and Sevilla.

The 30-year-old impressed with his performances as his country made the quarter-finals of Euro 2012 and new Villa boss Paul Lambert sees him as an ideal replacement for Stilyan Petrov in the Villa Park midfield.
However, according to reports in both France and Spain, La Liga side Sevilla are said to be readying a £2.6million bid for the player, who impressed in Ligue 1 last season where he helped his club cllinch an Europa League spot after a good end-of-season run.
Bordeaux do not want to sell but could have a decision to make if the experienced ex-Monaco and Osasuna man wants a new challenge in the Premier League.
