Wallemme in Auxerre rescue mission

Jean-Guy Wallemme says he has 'no time to waste' as he looks to extend Auxerre's lengthy stay in France's top division.

Auxerre, one of the top French teams of the last 20 years are currently bottom of Ligue 1 and are six points adrift of 17th placed Ajaccio, as they look to stay in a division where they have been for the last 32 years. With just seven games to go time isn't on Wallemme side, but the coach, who only joined the club in March, says the team must improve quickly: "There is no time to waste. We have had to get to the root of the problem straight away. We need to make sure the mood in the camp is positive and bring back a more confident atmosphere to the place."
