New Doncaster signing Robbie Blake has warned the club's fans not to expect the same goal return as former frontman Billy Sharp.

Blake, who can count Burnley, Birmingham and Leeds among his former clubs, has joined Rovers on a one-year deal and will provide Dean Saunders with much-needed experience on their return to the third tier. The 36-year-old has dropped down two divisions to join Doncaster and has drawn comparisons with former Keepmoat hero, Sharp. "I'm a totally different player to Billy. Billy is an out and out goal-scorer - his goal-scoring record is fantastic. He scored a lot of goals here and he scored a lot of goals for Southampton and helped them get promoted to the Premier League last season," said Blake. "I class myself as a different player. I can score goals but I also hold the ball up and bring people into the game."
