Boro snap-up Hills
Stevenage have completed the signing of exciting youngster Lee Hills on a free transfer from Crystal Palace.
The 22-year-old found first-team opportunities hard to come by at Selhurst Park due to persistent knee problems but impressed at the end of last season during a loan stint at Southend.
Boro boss Gary Smith previously worked with Hills when he coached the Eagles' youth sides and says he's excited to be reunited with the player.
"I already had a good knowledge of Lee from his time with Crystal Palace," he said. "We took the chance to bring him in and get a close look and he has impressed us with his pace, quality and energy.
"He has a good character and has conducted himself in an extremely professional manner. I think he will be a very good addition to the squad."
