Crawley sign Walsh

Crawley Town have completed the signing of former Swansea defender Joe Walsh on a free transfer.

The 20-year-old came through the youth ranks at the Welsh club but left this summer after just two appearances and the Wales Under-21 international has signed a one-year deal with the League One club, with an option for a further year. "Joe is someone I have been aware of for a while and when I knew he was available it looked a good fit," Reds boss Richie Barker said. "He is good cover for the two centre-halves and Mat Sadler at left-back, he ticks a lot of boxes in terms of what he brings to the squad and getting younger players into the football club who we think we can improve."
