Huddersfield manager Simon Grayson has revealed he is searching for quality not quantity as he prepares Town for the Championship.
The former Leeds boss has already released eight players, as he bids to trim a squad he labelled "too big". The outgoing players were Danny Cadamarteri, Nathan Clarke, Tommy Miller, Gary Naysmith, Gary Roberts, Simon Thomas and youngsters Aidan Chippendale and Greg Pearson. "I did think we had too big a squad and it needed to be reduced. It's now a matter of creating another team and squad which can do the business at the next level, develop and progress," said Grayson. Meanwhile, Town have offered new contracts to Ian Bennett, Tom Clarke, Alan Lee, Damien Johnson and young goalkeeper Lloyd Allinson.
