Gudjonsson leaves Terriers
Huddersfield Town have agreed to terminate the contract of midfielder Joey Gudjonsson by mutual consent so he can return to Iceland.
The 31-year-old international was supposed to leave the Galpharm at the end of the season anyway, but after receiving an offer to return home now, the club agreed to let him go early. Terriers boss Simon Grayson said: "He has received an offer to go back to Iceland to play and I agreed he could leave." Gudjonsson joined the Terriers in 2010, making 56 appearances and had previous spells in England for Wolves, Leicester and Burnley. "I've thoroughly enjoyed my time here. Everyone connected with the club has been great to work with," he said.
