Jamaican veteran Ian Goodison and Wales Under-21 international Ash Taylor have both signed new deals at Tranmere.

The two defenders have both agreed extensions with Goodison earning a 12-month deal and Taylor getting a two-year contract.
Goodison has been at Prenton Park since 2004 and, at the age of 39, is coming to end of his career while, in contrast, Taylor recently made his debut for Wales Under-21's
Rovers had to settle for mid-table obscurity this term after throwing away points on the road. However, there were some bright spots for the Prenton Park regulars, in particular the fact that the defence only leaked 16 goals at home all season, the best in the division. That included quite a few clean sheets as well, although 11 home games resulted in draws.
With the play-offs in sight, March promised much, but the momentum faded when it mattered, and in the end all those away defeats, 15 in all, contributed much to the failure to extend the season to the play-offs at least.
