Tranmere have announced they have secured the signing of Rochdale winger Joe Thompson.

The 23-year-old flyer has signed a two-year deal with the Wirral-based outfit and moves for an undisclosed fee having come through the youth academy at Spotland.
Thompson made a total of 157 first-team appearances for Rochdale and scored 17 goals, while he was also named League 2 Apprentice of the Year in 2006-07.
Tranmere boss Ronnie Moore told the club's website: "Joe is a great addition to the squad.
"He's got plenty of pace, he's good on the ball and he likes to take the opposition on.
"He can create and score goals and he's strong in the air too.
"I'm looking forward to working with him."
Moore has been busy and has also agreed a deal for Wolves forward Jake Cassidy to return to Prenton Park on a six-month loan deal, having scored five goals in 10 appearances during a spell last season.
