League Two Barnet have named Mark Robson as their new manager following the departure of Martin Allen in May.

Robson, who previously played for the likes of West Ham and Charlton, leaves his position as first-team coach at Championship outfit Peterborough and will be looking to add some stability to the club after a difficult few seasons for the Underhill side. Following their recent problems both on and off the field, the Bees board are reportedly looking to start developing their own talent and director of football Paul Fairclough believes the 43-year-old is the perfect man to oversee a 'comprehensive transformation of the club's footballing strategy'. "In Mark Robson we have secured the services of a forward-thinking coach who will lead the club along a new and exciting pathway," Fairclough said. "I truly see this as a new dawn for Barnet Football Club."
