Boothroyd slams 'relaxed' players

Northampton boss Aidy Boothroyd has criticised his squad's attitude after they lost 3-1 at home to struggling Bradford on Saturday.
A Nahki Wells hat-trick gave the Bantams a priceless win to move them above the Cobblers and almost guarantee their league status for next season. Boothroyd's men now sit eight points above the drop zone and the former Watford boss believes the reason for such a slack performance at the weekend was because his players already feel they are safe - but has warned them they could still get sucked into the relegation battle. "Bradford deserved their win, they outfought us all over the pitch and I never like to say that about my teams," said Boothroyd. "The players were too relaxed and I think they thought they had done enough to be safe before today's game but we're not safe yet and we are nowhere near where we need to be."
