Rotherham United manager Steve Evans wants to bring a goalkeeper and a striker in on loan to improve his promotion-chasing squad.
The Millers won 3-0 at Aldershot on Saturday to move up to ninth in League Two, just one point outside the play-off places, but Evans still wants to bring in a striker after admitting he has been 'frustrated' by the position so far this term. The Rotherham boss is also hoping to sign a goalkeeper on loan after Scott Shearer was ruled out for 6-7 weeks as he undergoes cartilage surgery. "Scott had a cartilage operation yesterday and will be missing for 6 or 7 weeks, but Andy Warrington is a good keeper at this level," said Evans after Saturday's win. "We'll dip into the market and bring a keeper in to compete with Woggy but he's kept a clean sheet today. "We're still trying to bring a striker in, we'll try again as we couldn't just get it over the line last week, I've had more frustrations about a striker than anything this season, it's been really difficult but we're not going to bring anybody in that won't improve us. "Look at Frecklington, he's a championship player, I drove to Peterborough to persuade the lad to join us and we'll keep doing journeys like that to add to the squad."
