Bradford City manager Phil Parkinson praised his players after they clinched League Two safety with a 1-0 win over Macclesfield.
The Bantams, who were in danger of the drop themselves just before Easter, have earned their survival with three wins in the last four matches including Saturday's win over the Silkmen, who themselves are fighting against the drop.
Parkinson was particularly keen to pay tribute to the Bantams defence, who restricted Macclesfield to just a handful of chances.
"Guy Branston has been tremendous," said Parkinson. "Luke Oliver has carried on where he left off after serving his three-match suspension. We have made it difficult for teams to come here.
"Macclesfield came here fighting for their lives. You accept they are going to be very strong and very solid and we had to deal with that and grind out a result."
