Shrews boss named manager of the month

Shrewsbury Town manager Graham Turner has been named the League Two manager of the month after guiding his team to promotion.

The Shrews secured promotion to League One last Saturday after James Collins scored the only goal in a 1-0 win over Dagenham and Redbridge and the boss has been rewarded by the Npower judging panel.
Alan Curbishley, who chairs the group, said: "April was a tremendous month for Graham Turner and Shrewsbury, with five wins and a draw giving the club automatic promotion.
"I'd like to congratulate Graham and his staff on a fantastic season in npower League Two."
Turner's side, who have already recorded a club record number of points, will finish their campaign in second place.
