Waddock to freshen things up

Wycombe Wanderers boss Gary Waddock says he plans on bringing in new signings after watching his side get beat midweek.
The Chairboys lost 1-0 at home to Gillingham on Tuesday night and Waddock admits, given the amount of games in the Football League season, he needs more depth in his squad. "It's a big ask at this early stage of the season for everyone to perform at the level we're looking for three times in a week. I may just freshen it all up," he told the club's official website. "We were disappointed because it was our first home game and we wanted to perform and get a result for the fans. We'll be looking to put that right, but we're up against strong opposition in the shape of Bristol Rovers." Wycombe have already made six signings this summer and have kept hold of last season's top scorer Stuart Beavon, despite interest from Millwall and a bid from Preston North End.
