Leeds are waiting for a decision from Joel Ward after holding extensive talks with the Portsmouth defender about a move to Yorkshire.

The 22-year-old's agent remains in dialogue with the Whites over a possible switch to the club, where he could link up with former Pompey team-mate Jason Pearce.
He agreed to join Neil Warnock's side from the south coast last month for an undisclosed fee and a number of other Portsmouth stars are also thought to be on the manager's radar, namely striker Luke Varney and midfielder David Norris.
Warnock is keen to build his new look team from the back after seeing Leeds leak far too many goals last season but he does face competition from Championship rivals Ipswich, Burnley and Crystal Palace for Ward's signature.
Pompey manager Michael Appleton is already resigned to the fact that the defender will be moving on from the cash-strapped south coast outfit.
He said: "There could be five or six in the race for Joel. That can only be a good thing. I'd be very surprised if he's not the next one to move on."
