Duo's absence sets up new boy for Whites debut
Leeds United, 16:00, September 4, 2009 ,
Leigh Bromby will make his Leeds debut against Stockport at Elland Road as Rui Marques and Patrick Kisnorbo are on international duty.
Whites boss Simon Grayson snapped up Bromby from Sheffield United on a four-year deal prior to the transfer deadline and, following a run-out in a behind-closed-doors friendly on Tuesday, he will be thrust straight into the starting XI against the Hatters on Saturday.
Bromby is set to line up alongside Lubo Michalik in the heart of defence as regular first-choice pairing Marques and Kisnorbo are playing internationals, while skipper Richard Naylor remains sidelined with a back injury.
Left-back Ben Parker remains doubtful with a hamstring injury, so Andy Hughes will continue to deputise as the Whites aim for a club-record 14th successive home win and eighth straight win at the start of a season.
