Leeds United, 13:12, April 29, 2010 ,

Simon Grayson is said to be interested in Preston striker Neil Mellor, who has been told he is free to leave Deepdale this summer.

The former Liverpool striker, who has had a fairly impressive campaign for PNE, scoring 11 goals, met with boss Darren Ferguson this week to be told he can move on if the right offer comes in over the summer.
Several Championship sides are said to be keen on the 27-year-old, Derby,Coventry, Sheffield Wednesday, and Watford have all monitored Mellor's situation and should Grayson want him he faces some serious competition.
Leeds look certain to bid farewell to top scorer Jermaine Beckford over the summer so the manager is looking for a replacement.
