Leeds have signed QPR winger Hogan Ephraim and Cardiff City left-sided utility player Tony Capaldi until January.
Capaldi, 28, will be allowed to play in the FA Cup this weekend, but QPR have not sanctioned Ephraim's involvement.
The 21-year-old has scored twice in seven first-team appearances for the Rs in an injury-hit season.
But Jim Magilton's decision to stop Ephraim from playing in Leeds' FA Cup second round clash against Kettering suggests the Loftus Road boss sees a role for him on his return.
"Hogan is quick and direct and can play on either side," Leeds United boss Grayson told the club's official website.
"We have a busy time coming up and Hogan gives us options and competition for places."
