Bamba off to Turkey
Leicester have reached an agreement with Turkish club Trabzonspor for the sale of defender Sol Bamba.
Trabzonspor, managed by former Turkey coach Senol Gunes, have confirmed they have paid the Foxes £750,000 for the 27-year-old Ivory Coast international. A brief statement on Leicester's official website read: "Leicester City can confirm that an agreement has been reached for the transfer of Sol Bamba to Trabzonspor for an undisclosed fee. "The 27-year-old defender has agreed personal terms with the Turkish club, bringing to an end his 17-month spell at King Power Stadium." A Trabzonspor statement added: "Trabzonspor have agreed terms with Souleymane Bamba and Leicester City FC. Leicester City FC will receive a transfer fee of £750,000 for the move." Bamba, signed from Hibernian in January 2011 by former Leicester manager Sven-Goran Eriksson, made 33 starts for Nigel Pearson's side last season.
