Beckford at the double

Jermaine Beckford scored twice as Leicester continued their preparations for the forthcoming npower Championship campaign with a 3-1 win at Nuneaton.

Beckford bagged both of his goals early in the second half and, despite the hosts pulling one back, summer signing Marko Futacs made certain of the victory late on for the Foxes. Leicester's final pre-season fixture sees them host Sunderland on Saturday before the campaign begins three days later with a Capital One Cup tie at Torquay. The first league game for Nigel Pearson's side is against Peterborough at the King Power Stadium on August 18.
