Millwall guaranteed a third successive season in the npower Championship by beating play-off hopefuls Leicester 2-1.

The Lions trounced City at the King Power Stadium earlier in the season and completed the double with their third win on the trot. Millwall spent much of the opening exchanges on the back foot but took the lead after 23 minutes when Harry Kane lashed home after City failed to clear in a penalty-box melee from James Henry's floated free-kick. On-loan goalkeeper Maik Taylor did superbly to keep out a fierce David Nugent effort as the visitors threatened, although Andy Keogh's penalty put Millwall further ahead 10 minutes into the second half. Kane was brought down in the box by Paul Konchesky when collecting a squared pass from Keogh, who scored the resulting penalty with a cheeky chipped effort. Leicester substitute Danny Drinkwater fired home from 20 yards in the 82nd minute, although it proved a mere consolation to leave the Foxes six points shy of the play-offs.
