Leicester chairman Milan Mandaric has confirmed the Foxes are interested in signing Bristol City goalkeeper Chris Weale.
The 27-year-old is set to be out of contract at Ashton Gate and so far has not been offered a new deal by the Robins.
Weale struggled to force his way into Gary Johnson's plans this season and was sent out on loan to Yeovil Town. The Glovers are also believed to be interested in signing him permanently but League One champions Leicester appear to be favourites to get him.
Mandaric has confirmed Weale is one of Leicester's summer targets as the club draw up their plans for an assault on the Championship next season.
"It is no secret to our supporters, who we are quite open with, that we need a good goalkeeper," Mandaric told the Leicester Mercury.
"He is one of the targets our goalkeeping coach has got.
"He got very big positive marks when we saw him, so he is one of our targets."
