Manager Nigel Pearson has vowed to rebuild his squad after Leicester failed to win promotion from the Championship.
A goalless draw at home to Burnley on Tuesday night ended any outside hopes of gatecrashing the play-offs. After the match Pearson pointed to inconsistency as the reason for the pre-season promotion favourites failing to live up to expectations. He is now looking to strengthen his squad as preparations for next season begin to get underway. "The season as a whole has been disappointing because out aspirations have not been fulfilled," said Pearson. "My job now is to get the squad prepared and see where that takes us next season. And I am looking forward to it, as I have looked forward to the task this season. "But it will be interesting to see how much business we can do. However, whatever we do it will be about making sure the squad is in good condition for the start of the season. "I constantly assess things and I think you have always got to be looking to tweak things. I know the squad's strengths and weaknesses and where we need to improve things. We have been inconsistent this season and we need to address that."
