Martyn Waghorn is looking forward to resuming his Leicester career after a six-month injury "nightmare".
Waghorn made his long-awaited comeback as a second-half substitute in the 2-1 home defeat to West Ham on Monday night after being sidelined since suffering a hamstring problem during a loan spell at Hull in October.
The 22-year-old striker said: "It is great to be back. It's been a strange few months but I'm back now and looking forward to the future. I want to work hard and try to get into the starting line-up as soon as I can.
"Being out was a nightmare, the worst six months of my career. I would be back in training and flying, and the next day I was back injured and in the treatment room for two or three months at a time.
"When I first did it, it was originally a two to three weeks job. I came back in that time-frame. But I just broke down.
"It was one of the muscles not many people have tweaked before, so it was a strange one. I saw a specialist, but now I can move on."
