Leyton Orient boss Martin Ling has left the club by mutual consent along with assistant Dean Smith.
The O's have gone eight games without a win and the final straw came after Saturday's 2-1 defeat at the hands of Bristol Rovers.
Youth team coach Kevin Nugent has been handed the post of caretaker boss and he takes charge of a side currently in the relegation zone.
