Allen deal latest

Liverpool are believed to be set to complete a deal for Joe Allen, after claims his advisors have been told they can speak to the Reds.

The Swansea midfielder has been a transfer target for Brendan Rodgers following his summer switch from the Liberty Stadium to Anfield and the Northern Irishman looks to have got his man.
Allen is currently away on international duty, featuring for Team GB at the Olympics, but his club future could be sorted before the end of the London Games.
Swansea were understood to have turned down a £12million offer for the 22-year-old last month, but it now appears Liverpool have reached an agreement over a potential deal.
Reports claim Allen had a clause inserted in the four-year deal he signed with Swansea last summer, which says that if any club outside the top five offers £10 million for his services, Swansea must sanction a move.
