Liverpool have agreed a fee of £13.5m with Swansea for midfielder Joe Allen and his move to Anfield is imminent.

New Reds boss Brendan Rodgers has been very keen to land the midfielder and a move appears to be on the cards, despite the former Swans boss promising not to raid the Liberty Stadium for at least 12 months.
The midfielder has not handed in a transfer request but is thought to be keen on a move to Anfield and Swans chairman Huw Jenkins believes £13.5million is too good an offer to turn down.
Allen is away with Team GB preparing for the Olympic games so he will not be able to join up with the rest of the Liverpool squad straight away but his move looks to be a done deal and he will be the latest player to join the Rodgers revolution at Anfield.
Allen's imminent switch to Anfield could encourage Rodgers to move for other Swans players with Scott Sinclair also thought to be a target but he will have to pay top price to persuade Jenkins to sell.
