Rafa Benitez has admitted Liverpool need a miracle to qualify for the Champions League last 16 but says he does not fear the sack.
Ryan Babel's screamer looked to have given the Reds a crucial win in Lyon but Lisandro Lopez equalised for the group leaders in injury time on Wednesday night to pile the pressure on Benitez, whose hopes of
qualifying from Group E are now hanging by a thread.
Punters looking to use their
free bet will no doubt have taken note of the Liverpool boss's comments as he has now admitted that his side is up against it to make it through.
"I am only thinking about the next game, nothing else," he said. "Clearly it is difficult now, but not impossible. We have to win our next game in Debrecen and wait to see what the result is between Fiorentina and Lyon.
"We have to keep going and try to win. We have achieved miracles before and we can do it again."
Fiorentina currently hold a five-point advantage over Liverpool with two games to go so if they avoid defeat at home to Lyon, who have already qualified, then it will be the Italians who progress, regardless of what happens in their finale at Anfield.
