Defender contemplates Reds exit
Liverpool star Martin Skrtel is planning talks with the club's hierarchy as his agent claims the defender is considering his future.
Karol Csonto says the Slovakian will make a final decision on his next move once he has heard the owner's spell out their ambitions and expectations.
Clearly the Reds are desperate to keep the centre-back after an impressive campaign in which he has just picked up the supporters' player of the year award.
However, the 27-year-old is in two minds about extending his contract at Anfield in the wake of a disappointing campaign for Liverpool that saw them finish in seventh place in the Premier League and below Everton for the first time in seven years.
Csonto told The Independent: "Some changes have been made at the club and the player wants to know what the aims and ambitions are.
"We want to discuss with Liverpool what they want and, of course, we will discuss the issue of Martin's new contract.
"You cannot say Liverpool won't play in the Champions League. It is a big club and because they haven't made it this year doesn't mean they would not next.
"There are expectations on both sides, though."
