Ferrara to be axed

Juventus are expected to announce the sacking of Ciro Ferrara on Friday with speculation rife that Rafa Benitez will replace him.
Having stumbled to defeat in six of their last eight matches Juve have slipped down the Seria A table and Wednesday's Coppa Italia defeat to Inter Milan was the last straw with Ferrara facing the axe today.
Reports suggest that Benitez is frustrated by financial restraints at Anfield and will therefore consider the Juve switch in the summer, he himself has said nothing but the Italian media have Benitez and Guus Hiddink down as favorites to take over the Old Lady.
Juve are ready to name an interim manager to see them through until the end of the season and then look for a permanent replacement for Ferrara.
