Liverpool have been rocked by the news Steven Gerrard will be out for 10 days after tearing a muscle in his leg.
The Reds skipper picked up the injury during Saturday's 2-0 win at Bolton and will now definitely sit out England's friendly clash against Germany on Wednesday night.
More of a concern for the Reds though is next weekend's home clash with Fulham, which the midfielder again looks set to miss unless he makes a speedy recovery.
Liverpool spokesman Ian Cotton said: "Steven picked up an injury in yesterday's game at Bolton. A scan this morning has confirmed a tear in the adductor magnus muscle in his right leg, and he is expected to be out between seven to 10 days."
