Luis Suarez has admitted that he would sacrifice his FA Cup final place by emulating his World Cup handball to help Liverpool progress.

The Uruguayan international forward was red carded during the 2010 World Cup quarter-final clash with Ghana after stopping the ball on his own goalline with his hand. And the Africans missed the subsequent penalty kick which ensured Uruguay a place in the last-four with Suarez forced to miss out due to a suspension. Ahead of Saturday lunch-time's all-Merseyside FA Cup clash with Everton at Wembley, Suarez has controversially revealed that he would do the same again to make sure the Reds are in next month's final against Chelsea or Tottenham. "The sacrifice I made was because it was so important for Uruguay to make the semi-finals," Suarez is quoted as saying in The Sun. "Now I want to win this semi-final." "It will take an enormous effort but I am dedicated to the team. If I am obliged to stop a ball in the last minute and we win, then I will repeat the action. "Success for Liverpool is more important to me than anything else. But I do hope there is no drama like this for me."
