Liverpool confident on Torres

Liverpool, 09:55, January 29, 2011

Liverpoool remain confident they can keep hold of Fernando Torres after rejecting a transfer request from the Spanish star.

Chelsea have seen a bid in the region of £35million rejected by the Anfield side and Liverpool have also dismissed Torres' transfer request, which he handed in hours after the Reds landed Uruguay international striker Luis Suarez.
The Stamford Bridge side are all set to make another move for Torres but Liverpool have told the striker they expect him to honour his contract, with Torres' current deal set to expire in 2013.
"Fernando Torres tonight submitted a written transfer request, which has been rejected by Liverpool," the club said in a statement.
"Fernando is under long-term contract and the club expect him to honour the commitment he made to Liverpool FC and its supporters when he signed the agreement."
The transfer window closes on Monday and Liverpool remain confident they can keep hold of Torres until the deadline has passed, meaning the 26-year-old striker should remain a Liverpool player until at least the end of the campaign, although Chelsea are expected to renew their interest in the summer.

this is the start of a wider plan. the fat man with a goaty has submitted a plan that will see firstly torres arrive before him so not to upset the fans... followed by a certain liverpool keeper arriving in july with a former liverpool playmaker currently plying his trade in madrid who is not enjoying life under the once known special one to follow. this holy trinity will then attract the other players targeted for a complete overhaul of some ageing stars for a renewed assault on all possible honours. watch this space for the danish centre half to follow. fat man will be in place after the next bad couple of results

now tie up suarez deal, tie up adams deal and if you really want tame the players and fans go for portugese left back contreau. cant spell i know but. these intentions will show the world and supporters, that liverpool are one again and championsleague should happen this season. if adam fails. move fast 4 turan. this move will be outstanding as he is a true supporter! again showing true intentions. after these move you need only go for one or two buys a season.

I would hate to see him go at this stage having just bought him a strike partner, but if Chelsea up their bid, say 45 - 50 million then let him go as long as Kenny gets the cash to invest....

I think if torres wants to go when liverpool are in the middle of rebuilding then let him go at the end of the season and start a bidding war between chelski, barca and city get it up to seventy million you silly man goin to an ageing chelski side and join up with terry who you rember torres he kicked seven kinds of crap out of ya hope you win nothing it was only 2 weeks ago you said you commited to LFC so thanks very much fernando for leaving the worlds best fans and I hope ya enjoy the plastic fans of chelski with all there history not and mark my words Mr torres you will regret this and also lad ya sons a scouser forever red and we made ya what you are goodbye

|After watching Chelsea play against Everton today - Torres would be out of place with them - he is far superior and classy in his football - all they do is make false claims for fouls and Drogba is going back to his old ways of throwing himself about.
