Liverpool are poised to seal loan deals for Nuri Sahin and Cristian Tello ahead of their season opener at West Brom on Saturday.

Turkey midfielder Sahin has been told he is free to leave Spanish giants Real Madrid this summer, with London duo Tottenham and Arsenal linked with a move for the 23-year-old.
However, reports today suggest that Sahin has opted to move to Merseyside, having spoken to former Reds star and current Real midfielder Xavi Alonso about the Anfield club.
A deal for former the Borussia Dortmund man could be sealed before the weekend, allowing Liverpool to switch their attentions to Barcelona winger Tello.
The 21-year-old established himself in the Barca first-team last season under Pep Guardiola but has been informed by new manager Tito Vilanova that he will not be a regular this time around, registering him as a member of their 'B' squad for the upcoming campaign.
Liverpool are ready to offer Tello the chance to play first-team football, with Reds managing director Ian Ayre flying out to Spain in order to tie up a season-long loan move for the former Espanyol. youngster.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has already brought Fabio Borini and Joe Allen to Anfield this summer, but admitted earlier this week that funds for further deals were limited.
The loan deals for Tello and Sahin would allow the former Swansea boss to bolster his squad with relatively little outlay as he bids to improve on their eighth place finish last time out.
