Liverpool linked with striker swoop
Liverpool are reported to be lining up a £15million swoop for Chelsea striker Daniel Sturridge this summer.
Sturridge faces an uncertain future at Stamford Bridge and reports claim that new Reds boss Brendan Rodgers has put the striker at the top of his wanted list following the departure of Dirk Kuyt.
The former Manchester City man has regularly spoken of his desire to play as an out-and-out striker and will want assurances from Chelsea following the departure of Didier Drogba before making a decision on his future.
Chelsea could stick with a lone striker next season and if Sturridge is told that Fernando Torres is number one choice then a move could be on the cards.
The Blues are also closing in on Brazilian striker Hulk meaning Sturridge will have to settle for a place on the wing if he is to have any chance of breaking his way into the side.
Liverpool could offer him a route out and the player would no doubt jump at the chance of a switch to Anfield.
