Midfielder deal still on
Kenny Dalglish is set to go on another scouting mission to watch AZ Alkmaar midfielder Rasmus Elm in action.
Dalglish went to watch the 24-year-old in action last weekend but the birth of his first child saw the Sweden international pull out of the game and left the Reds needing to re-schedule another scouting trip. In the meantime AZ are making moves to try and keep the £8m rated player, despite claims that he has already agreed personal terms of £40,000 a week on a five year deal at Anfield. Alkmaar technical director Earnie Stewart said: "We want to keep him for longer. I'm very hopeful he'll stay."
