New man agrees deal
Liverpool are set to announce that Brendan Rodgers is their new manager today after he agreed a three year deal with the club.
The Reds have been after a new man in charge since they sacked Kenny Dalglish at the end of last season and the 39-year-old Rodgers has always been near the top of their list.
He is now set to be confirmed as the new boss and he will sign a three year deal at the club once Liverpool and Swansea have agreed a compensation package, which could reach a figure of £5m.
Rodgers' appointment may end any plans to install Louis Van Gaal as a sporting director as he would want complete control of the football side at the club.
