Juventus have given Rafa Benitez a ten-day deadline for him to declare his interest in becoming their next manager.
The Seria A giants are reportedly 90% sure the Spaniard will take over when Alberto Zaccheroni leaves in the summer but Benitez's agent, Manuel Garcia Quilon, has denied meeting with officials from the Italian club. "I haven't met with Juventus, I was here in Madrid," Quilon told Calciomercato.it. "I reaffirm that Benitez has a four-year deal with Liverpool so he remains there. But in the coming months I don't know what will happen." Juve are ready to hand Benitez a significant transfer war chest if he were to move to Turin, something he is unlikely to get at Anfield, but with four years left on his Liverpool deal he would be turning his back on a £16m pay-out if he walked away and he is unwilling to do that.
