Rafa to hand key stars a break

Steven Gerrard, Dirk Kuyt, Javier Mascherano and Pepe Reina are all set to be rested for Wednesday's Carling Cup tie at Spurs.
Rafa Benitez has changed his side around on a regular basis for the earlier rounds of the League Cup and this week's fourth round clash will be no exception.
As the manager mulls over whether to give Fernando Torres a run out, the boss has pointed out that skipper Gerrard will be a more influential figure after a break.
Benitez admitted: "I think Gerrard's level will improve with Torres available. It is clear that Stevie is a bit tired at the moment, but with Torres he will have another player that can benefit from the accuracy of his passing."
He added: "I think Gerrard can improve, Torres will improve with fitness, and Aurelio, Agger and Mascherano can all improve.
"We are in a very good position and we have enough quality in the squad to be there for a long time.
"But Stevie needs a bit of rest. He was injured during the international break and it is important to try and keep players fit all the time."
