Reds aces linked with Blues switch

Fernando Torres has distanced himself from a rumored £50m move to Chelsea but they have not given up hope of signing Xabi Alonso.
As transfer speculation reaches fever pitch Liverpool's Spanish ace has been linked with both Manchester United and now Chelsea but he has made it clear he is happy where he is at Anfield and expects to win trophies in the near future.
He told the Post: "In the past two years, United have been the strongest team in Europe and we had to fight against them.
"This year they have lost an important player, so maybe it is our time.
"When I signed for Liverpool the main thing was to win trophies for them.
"It has been frustrating for me because for a club like Liverpool to go two years without a trophy is too long. But I think it's coming."
Meanwhile a move for Alonso to Chelsea may still be a possibility bearing in mind new Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti has already made it clear he would like to take the midfield playmaker to Stamford Bridge.
