Reds in talks with Swans target

Liverpool are reportedly in talks with Gylfi Sigurdsson, who had looked set to make a permanent switch to Swansea.
The 22-year-old Icelandic midfielder impressed during a season-long loan with the Swans last season and looked all set to tie up a club record £6.8million switch to the Liberty Stadium. However, Brendan Rodgers' subsequent departure to take over the Anfield job from Kenny Dalglish has left the deal in limbo as personal terms had not been agreed between the player and Swansea. It is thought Sigurdsson is keen to work with Rodgers next season so is pushing for a move to Liverpool, while the Northern Irish tactician confirmed on Friday that he would give his former club every chance to conclude a deal before he stepped in. But reports on Saturday evening claim that Sigurdsson is now holding talks with Liverpool and other Premier League clubs so it seems that the player's future is far from certain at the moment.
