Liverpool, 08:51, March 4, 2010 ,
Palermo defender Simon Kjaer has expressed his interest in joining Liverpool but his club do not want to sell.
The 20-year-old Danish centre-half still has two years left on his present deal at Palermo but he wants a move and he wants it to be completed before the World Cup so he can concentrate on playing for his country.
Currently fourth in Serie A Palermo have made it clear they do not want to lose any of their star players but Kjaer would like to move and Liverpool are his preferred destination.
He said: "I will take a step towards the dream or I will stay in Palermo. I would prefer to have it sorted out before the World Cup. I am ready for a new challenge, but is has to be an attractive club.
"(The) Premier League is the best league in the world and then there is Barcelona and Real Madrid in Spain.
"England and the physical playing style would probably suit me better. In case the right offers come, it would be exciting to form a partnership with (Daniel) Agger (at Liverpool)."
