Reds return for Cole

Lille coach Rudi Garcia has confirmed that Joe Cole will be heading back to Anfield when his loan spell in France comes to an end.

There was a line of thought that suggested he may negotiate a further stay in France where his loan spell has been a success or even manage to get a move to another English club with West Ham ready to try and take him back to Upton Park. Garcia does not expect that to happen, he said: "Joe Cole will stay at Liverpool. "The new staff have decided to keep him. We will remember him very fondly as a player but also as a man." Cole used to work with Brendan Rodgers at Chelsea and his appointment at Anfield could give Cole a new lease of life at the Reds
