Reds to be positive - Rafa
Liverpool, 15:37, January 22, 2009 ,
Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez says his players must learn from their Monday mistakes when they take on Everton in the FA Cup on Sunday.
Liverpool are set to battle it out with Everton again, just six days after Tim Cahill's late leveller denied the Reds two points and the chance to re-take Premier League leadership back from rivals Manchester United.
Benitez wants his side to go into the game on a positive note and not to repeat costly mental errors.
"We need to send a positive message," he told Liverpool TV. "We have to think about our position in the table and also the Champions League, while we are also in the FA Cup.
"We have to be positive. We knew that the game was almost won but now we have to think about the future.
"Okay, we made the mistake and maybe we can learn from it for the future," added Benitez.
"It was something that we were talking about and they know it is something we have to improve.
"We are not conceding too many goals but when the goals are so important it is worse."
