Midfielder Jonjo Shelvey has revealed his delight at putting pen to paper on a new long-term contract with Liverpool.
The 20-year-old playmaker has made a slow start to life with the Reds since making his name at Charlton Athletic before making the leap to the Premier League.
However, Shelvey has slowly been eased into the side on Merseyside and under newly appointed manager Brendan Rodgers the player looks to have a bright future at Anfield and you can back the Reds next season using your free bet.
The midfielder was delighted to have secured his future with Liverpool and is looking forward to next season.
He told the club's official website: "I am really happy. Last season I was itching to try and push for a new contract. Now it's happened and I am ready to kick on again now.
"It's lovely to know I am in the plans for the future. At the moment, it's just about getting things right each day and proving myself to the gaffer here. The gaffer and his way of playing will suit me down to the ground and hopefully I can be in his plans."
