Goals from Raheem Sterling, Lucas Leiva and Andy Carroll helped Liverpool claim a 3-1 friendly win over Bayer Leverkusen.
Sterling took just three minutes to net his first senior goal for the Reds after bursting away from his marker before curling his shot past Bernd Leno in the Leverkusen goal. Lucas added a second before Carroll fired home Liverpool's third while Sidney Sam clinched a late equaliser for the visitors. Liverpool lined up with Sterling, Luis Suarez and Stewart Downing as the front three in Brendan Rodgers' preferred 4-3-3 formation.
