Stoke join Adam chase

Stoke are being linked with a pre-deadline swoop for Charlie Adam who is surplus to requirements at Liverpool.

The Reds are looking to cash in on the former Blackpool man ahead of Friday's deadline and an offer of £5million could be enough to secure a deal for the 26-year-old. Potters boss Tony Pulis is keen to draft in a new central midfielder and is reported to have made his interest known to Liverpool, but it remains to be seen if he has enough cash to finance a deal. Everton are said to be favourites as they have the cash from the sale of Jack Rodwell to Manchester City to fund the deal, while Fulham are also in the hunt as Moussa Dembele looks set for Tottenham and they need a replacement.
