Liverpool are set for a battle with neighbours Everton for the services of Roque Santa Cruz of Manchester City.
The Paraguayan international is looking for a move away from Eastlands as he can not get into Roberto Mancini's first team squad let alone the final XI and a move looks to be on the cards.
Roy Hodgson is looking to add to his squad in the new year and another striker to take the weight of Fernando Torres' shoulders appears to be on his wanted list.
He will face a battle with David Moyes though as he looks for some firepower to add to his misfiring side and there will be others interested in the 29-year-old.

Come on roy, its not a case of buying more strikers but playing two strikers in there right posistion and not putting them on the wing leaving nobody for the lone striker to play with. Didnt work with benitez and it dosent work now!!!
