Target set for Turkish move

Real Madrid midfielder Hamit Altintop looks set to move on from Spain but Liverpool will have to move quickly if they are to land him.

The lack of a man at the helm of the club is not helping attract any transfer targets and they may miss out on Altintop if they dither as Turkish side Galatasaray are also very keen. According to Spanish paper AS, normally relied upon to get their Real Madrid stories correct, the player's agent Reza Fazeli has been to Istanbul to meet with the Turkish side. The player's representative recently told the Dogan News Agency: "Negotiations are ongoing. I can say it's going well."
